Hidden in the Wolski Forest is the Kraków Zoo, built in 1929. It is worth knowing that its history is connected with the decision to relocate the Royal Castle from Krakow to Warsaw. In the royal times, Wawel housed a zoo with, among others, monkeys, lions and even camels. After the capital was moved to Warsaw, the zoo started declining. Thanks to nature activists, a new place in the zoo was created for animals. Today, you can admire 260 different species of animals in the park.
