A unique part of the city – today a vibrant cultural and social district of Kraków, it used to be a place where the Christian and Jewish cultures connected and permeated each other. Strolling through the streets of Kazimierz, you can notice the present-day Kraków bohemians and traces of Jewish culture from centuries ago. Every year, during the summer, the Jewish Culture Festival takes place here. There are seven synagogues around Kazimierz: The Old Synagogue, Remuh Synagogue, High Synagogue, Wolf Popper Synagogue, Kupa Synagogue, Isaac Synagogue and the Tempel Synagogue.
